Telemetry and remote control

The espresso machine that reports every extraction

The Sanremo D8 is built ready for the IoT module. Connected to Sanremo Cloud, the machine transmits the temperature of each group, the flow rate of every extraction and every alarm, while recipes, doses and the operating schedule are administered remotely, from the application or the browser.

Sanremo IoT

A machine that reports, not merely displays.

Sanremo IoT is the platform through which the machine exchanges data with the manufacturer's cloud infrastructure. Access is obtained from a browser or from the My Sanremo application, for iOS and Android, with distinct accounts and rights for each member of the team.

The D8 is the first generation engineered for this function: the module is installed at the factory or added subsequently as a kit, and retrofitting is not possible on preceding models. Once connected, the machine does not confine itself to displaying its parameters — it transmits them onward.

The "Real Time Extraction" screen: group 1 at 95 °C and the flow curve in ml/s

Extraction in real time

The shape of the extraction, not merely its result.

The application displays the group, the temperature at that moment and the flow curve, plotted across the extraction. A recipe's deviations become visible in the graph before they are perceptible in the cup.

  • temperature per group
  • ml/s
  • extraction time
  • active recipe

Temperature of each group

The D8 Pro permits independent temperature control on each group. The application displays the actual value, in degrees, while the group is operating.

Extraction flow, in real time

The "Real Time Extraction" screen plots the flow curve, in ml/s, across the extraction — not merely the result, but its progression.

Doses and recipes

Up to seven programmable doses per group. The recipe is modified from the application and can be replicated across the other machines in the network.

Status and operating schedule

Pressure, standby mode, front lighting and the weekly start and stop schedule, all accessible remotely.

One machine or the entire network, on the same screen.

Each machine appears with the name of its location and its operating status, signalled by colour. A fault is reported to you by the platform, not by a customer.

Alerts and diagnostics

The fault reaches the technician before the customer.

The platform issues the notification the moment a parameter moves out of limits, and the diagnostics are consulted remotely. The technician knows the nature of the fault before travelling to the site.

For us, as an authorised service unit, this means fewer visits made solely to establish the cause. For you it means shorter downtime.

Access rights for each role.

01

Barista

Consults temperature and extraction in real time and adjusts the recipe without interrupting service at the bar.

02

Manager

Compares locations, monitors consumption and distributes identical settings across every machine in the network.

03

Owner

Has the operating indicators without travelling to the site and identifies an inoperative machine immediately.

04

Technician

Consults the diagnostics before travelling and arrives with the necessary part at the first intervention.

Time recovered

The checks are automated. The service remains yours.

Telemetry is not intended to add another screen to the working day, but to eliminate the checks that were being made anyway: whether the machine has started, whether the temperature has stabilised, whether extractions fall within parameters. The time recovered returns to your customers.

From delivery to the first graph.

  1. 01

    The IoT module

Installed at the factory or added subsequently as a kit. Retrofitting is not possible on models preceding the D8.

  2. 02

    The network on site

The machine connects to the site Wi-Fi network. We verify signal coverage at the bar position before installation.

  3. 03

    The platform account

The account is created, the machines are enrolled and distinct rights are assigned for barista, manager and service.

  4. 04

    Calibration and recipes

We calibrate the machine to your coffee and save the recipes, so that they can be replicated across subsequent locations.

  5. 05

    Alerts and maintenance

We set the alert thresholds and maintenance intervals, and the diagnostics reach the technician together with the notification.

What is prepared on site

A stable Wi-Fi network at the bar position and an administrator account. The machine requires no computer on site, and the data is transmitted directly to the platform.

Commercial terms

The module is ordered together with the machine or added subsequently, and the subscription to the cloud services accompanies the equipment, for five years. The exact commercial terms are confirmed with the quotation.

We install the equipment and hand over the platform configured.

We deliver the D8 together with the IoT module, install it, configure the accounts and train your team in the use of the platform. Thereafter we provide maintenance, with our own technicians and original parts.
